Savings Products

Ordinary Savings Account

A compulsory savings vehicle that forms the core foundation of your capital and borrowing power in the SACCO.

Junior Savings Account

A long-term custodial account opened by parents or legal guardians to secure the financial future of minors (14 and below).

Fixed Savings Account

Designed for wealth growth — lock away lump-sum investments for a designated tenure with competitive interest rates.

  • Tenures of 3, 6, 12 or 24 months

Target Savings Account

Membership Process

Assessment.

All applicants are vetted by our vetting committee upon applying. Acceptable candidates receive membership in the SACCO

Probationary Saving

All members are required to save consistently for a period of 4 months before they are able to borrow or start investing.

Membership Eligibility & Requirements

Shares Requirement

Every member must acquire a minimum of 2 shares at par value of 10,000/= per share.

General Admission Requirements

  • Fall within the approved membership field defined in the SACCO By-laws.
  • Submit a completed Membership Application Form with valid government-issued identification.
  • Formally accept the By-laws, policies, core values and member responsibilities.
  • Pay the prescribed non-refundable membership fee and buy the minimum shares.
  • Commit to consistent minimum monthly savings for your membership category.
  • Pass standard Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks.
Individual or Group

Membership Types

Adults (14+)

  • Fall within the apprWritten recommendation from a recognized SACCO member.oved membership field defined in the SACCO By-laws.
  • Provide a National ID (NIN), valid Passport or Refugee ID.
  • Submit Next of Kin / Beneficiary nominations.
  • Applicants aged 14–17 are admitted with Board approval.

Junior / Youth (Under 14)

  • For children below the age of 14, opened and operated on their behalf.
  • Register under a parent, guardian or sponsor who is an active SACCO member.
  • Eligible for savings and financial literacy, but cannot vote, hold office or guarantee loans. Converts to adult status at 14.
  • Applicants aged 14–17 are admitted with Board approval.

Cooperatives & Collectives

  • Submit a formal written request and a group resolution/minutes authorizing account opening.
  • Provide details of leadership, signatories, purpose and source of funds.
  • Nominated representatives satisfy individual KYC requirements.

Religious & Non-Profit Organizations

  • Submit a formal written request and a group resolution/minutes authorizing account opening.
  • Submit an LC’s recognition letter from the Local Chairman confirming the organization is within their area.
  • Submit registration/legal documents, constitution and leadership details.
  • Nominated representatives satisfy individual KYC requirements.

Businesses & Enterprises

  • Owned or co-owned by a qualifying member, church affiliate or faith-aligned entrepreneur.
  • Provide registration documents, trading licenses, TIN certificates and proof of physical location.

Credit Products

Quick Loan

This loan is available for emergencies including hospitalization, funeral expenses, court fines, and/or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond the members’ control.

  • Application should be accompanied by prove of emergency need
  • Repayable in 12 months
  • 0% interest, 2% interest monthly after maturity date

Ordinary Loan

Our standard loan product intended for general economic development of SACCO members. It provides flexible financing and comfortable repayment terms.

  • Repayable in 12-36 months
  • 0% interest, 2% interest monthly after maturity date
  • The maximum amount loan shall be up to 3 times members deposits
  • Loan must be fully guaranteed by own deposits, other members’ deposits, or acceptable security.
  • For Guarantorship against deposits, the guarantor’s liability shall not exceed 5,000,000 UGX
  • A member may refinance the initial loan at a 1 % refinancing fee after repaying the loan for at least one year

Asset financing loan

This product is tailored to assist members in the acquisition of income-generating assets other than for personal use. This includes machine/Equipment acquisition for business start-ups or expansion, farm machinery, dairy equipment, Motorbikes for business etc.

  • It is repayable in 36 months
  • 0% interest, 2% monthly after maturity date
  • The maximum amount shall not exceed 100% of the cost of the Asset.
  • The Asset will secure up to 70% of the market value of the asset whereas 30% shall be secured by either own free deposit, other acceptable collateral or by at least 2 guarantors.
  • Member to attach business proposal and income projections where applicable.
  • All incidental costs arising out of this loan processing shall be borne by the borrowers.
  • Comprehensive insurance cover and tracking system in case of public transport vehicles.
